About the event:
The Virtual Awards Ceremony for the Lab Award winners is to recognize the 2025 International Freezer Challenge Winners and Honorable Mentions. We want to celebrate their amazing efforts in a way in which the broader laboratory sustainability community can come together. We will be able to hear from some of the Lab Winners themselves, from I2SL and the Freezer Challenge program sponsors, but we will also have some community-wide interactive portions and networking opportunities. Please come celebrate the incredible efforts of all the participating labs that won awards this year, hear how they were able to be successful, and bring tips back to your own organization for next year!

About the International Laboratory Freezer Challenge:
The Freezer Challenge encourages laboratories to adopt sustainable practices for their cold storage units, a crucial aspect of lab energy consumption. From full defrost practices to temperature tuning and retiring outdated equipment, the challenge offers a comprehensive guide to minimizing environmental impact while optimizing lab resources. Since 2017, the Freezer Challenge program has helped save a whopping 108 million kWh worth of energy!
